THE YOUNG ARTIST COMPETITION

The Lakeshore Symphonic Band, serving the Wisconsin counties of Ozaukee, Washington and Milwaukee since 1976, is proud of its annual tradition of providing an opportunity for a high school wind or percussion musician to perform a solo work accompanied by the band. The selection chosen by the student must have a band or chamber wind ensemble accompaniment available.  Auditions are held in March. The winner, who receives a scholarship award of $750 , then performs their selection during the annual spring concert in May. Please note that winner must be able to attend two of our Wednesday evening rehearsals.
