How to Apply

Follow these simple steps to submit an application for the Young Artist Competition

  • Download Application

    Download and complete the official application form. Ensure all sections are filled out accurately.

  • Select Repertoire

    Choose a solo piece with band or chamber wind ensemble accompaniment. The accompaniment must be available for purchase or loan (no rentals).

  • Submit Application & Fee

    Submit completed application along with the $10 application fee via mail or email (and Paypal) submission.

Pay Application Fee: Secure payment processing via PayPal Donation: $10

Eligibility

  • Must be a current high school student, and be a wind or percussion musician.
  • Able to attend at least two Wed. evening rehearsals prior to concert, and be available for May performance.

Repertoire Guidelines

  • Solo work is for wind or percussion instruments.
  • Must have band or chamber wind ensemble accompaniment.
  • Accompaniment must be available for purchase or loan. No rental accompaniments allowed.
  • The student’s musical work must have a band or chamber wind ensemble accompaniment available for purchase or loan (no music rental allowed). If the music publisher is outside the USA (international) the accompaniment MUST be available as a digital download.
